The CXC2P13-207, 2-7/16” CROSSLOC pillow block bearings are working great in their cotton gin.
They said a common problem in this industry is undersized shafts, and competitors are facing some rejections because their bearings can’t tighten onto the shaft securely.
COC bearings were able to accommodate the undersized shafts, were easier to install, and ran at lower temperatures than the previous bearings.

Hammer Mill

CX4SAF26-407L units are installed on a hammer mill at an animal feed processing plant.
Motor operating speed: 1750 rpm.
The customer specified a maximum bearing temperature limit of 140°F(60°C), which competitors failed to meet.
After 24 hours of operation, the front bearing measured 100°F(37°C), while the rear bearing was running at 85°F(29°C).

Bearing Inserts

Bearing inserts are now available for high-volume OEM customers.
We can now support larger-scale projects, including integration into customer machinery.

It’s been five years since they replaced their conventional plummer block bearings, which were changed every three months, with COC bearings. Even after five years, our bearings are still running smoothly, and they want to continue using them. Their maintenance consists of just monthly lubrication.

The cost savings have been substantial—covering five years’ worth of bearing replacements (four times a year), installation and removal labor, and machine downtime.

And these cost savings are expected to continue going forward.

OCSPAM204 is installed in a high-precision optical sorter, where maintaining a clean environment is absolutely essential.

The CXC4P22-407 is still going strong after 2 years, while the competitor’s units only lasted 6 to 8 weeks. The COC turtle just won’t die-built to last!

As seen in the video, it’s a very demanding application. We believe this dramatic improvement in lifespan is thanks to COC’s unique triple-lip self-aligning seal and the CROSSLOC locking system. The adapter-style locking design provides 360-degree clamping, delivering superior performance by resisting vibration without damaging the shaft. In contrast, conventional locknut systems are difficult to install correctly and often lead to improper mounting. With CROSSLOC, anyone can install the bearing easily and reliably, reducing the risk of installation errors and extending bearing life.
